IPL 2025: Latest Updates and Highlights
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has been paused for a week. This is due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala was stopped early for safety reasons.

A Tight Race in IPL 2025
IPL 2025 has been exciting. No team has secured a playoff spot yet after 57 matches. Three teams—Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad—are out of the race. Let’s look at the best and worst moments of the remaining teams. For the first part featuring other teams, click here.
Mumbai Indians
Best Moment
Mumbai Indians started slow but became a strong team. Their best moment was Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav’s amazing batting against CSK on April 20. Suryakumar Yadav also set an IPL record with 12 consecutive scores of 25 or more.
Special Mention
Captain Hardik Pandya scored 42 runs off just 15 balls against RCB, even though they lost.
Worst Moment
The controversial decision to retire Tilak Varma for Mitchell Santner in their game against Lucknow Super Giants.
Punjab Kings
Best Moment
Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya’s bold batting stood out. Priyansh Arya scored a great century against Chennai Super Kings. Prabhsimran hit four half-centuries in a row, including one against Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala.
Other highlights include Yuzvendra Chahal’s hat-trick against CSK and their bowling that dismissed KKR for just 95.
Worst Moment
Glenn Maxwell’s third time with Punjab Kings didn’t go well. He scored only 48 runs in 6 matches. He was doing well with the ball, but a finger injury ended his season early.

Rajasthan Royals
Best Moment
Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history. He scored the fastest IPL century by an Indian and became the youngest to score an IPL century. He hit a 35-ball century at just 14 years and 32 days old against Gujarat Titans.
Worst Moment
Rajasthan Royals lost three close matches to Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They were in good positions but lost due to great bowling and poor batting. Injuries to captain Sanju Samson made things worse.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Best Moment
RCB had many great moments. They beat CSK in Chennai for the first time in 17 years. They haven’t lost any away games and could be the first team to win all away matches in an IPL season. Virat Kohli played very well. Romario Shepherd’s 14-ball fifty against CSK in Bengaluru was amazing.
Worst Moment
RCB didn’t have many bad moments. Devdutt Padikkal got injured, which was a setback. Mayank Agarwal, his replacement, has time to adjust before the season resumes.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Best Moment
Sunrisers Hyderabad had three great wins. Ishan Kishan’s century in their first match against Rajasthan Royals helped them score 286, the second-highest in IPL history. Abhishek Sharma’s 141 against Punjab Kings led to the second-best chase in IPL history. They also beat CSK in Chennai for the first time.
Worst Moment
Teams usually have a mix of good and bad moments. The average moments are often forgotten.
