Smriti Mandhana’s Century Leads India to Victory
Smriti Mandhana scored a fantastic century in the final ODI Tri-series match between Sri Lanka and India. Playing at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Mandhana’s explosive batting turned the game in India’s favor. She hit 13 fours and 2 sixes on her way to a brilliant hundred.
Mandhana’s Stellar Performance
Mandhana reached her century in style. She hit four consecutive fours off Chamari Athapaththu’s deliveries in the 31st over. This was her 11th century in the format, achieved in just 92 deliveries.
After scoring the century, Mandhana raised her helmet and ran to hug Harleen Deol, celebrating her amazing achievement.
Milestones Achieved
With this century, Smriti Mandhana moved to the third position in the list of batters with the most ODI centuries in women’s cricket. She is now only behind Australia’s Meg Lanning (15 centuries) and New Zealand’s Suzie Bates (13 centuries).
The star batter has also crossed the 600-run mark against Sri Lanka, making this a memorable match for her.

India Women won the toss and chose to bat first. India’s openers started well, but Pratika Rawat was dismissed in the 15th over by Inoka Ranaweera. Rawat scored 30 off 49 balls. Harleen Deol, who was batting with Mandhana, scored 31 runs off 42 balls.
