West Delhi Stabbing: Man Killed in Revenge Attack

One minor held, another on the run after man stabbed to death

Man Dies, Sister and Bystander Hurt in West Delhi

A 29-year-old man died in a stabbing in Khyala, West Delhi. His sister and another person were badly hurt. This happened on Sunday night. Police think it was revenge for an earlier fight.

What the Police Found

Police officer Piyush Jain said one attacker was caught. The other is still free. The police heard about the attack at 3:15 am. A hospital in Raghubir Nagar told them. Three hurt people were taken there.

“The 29-year-old man died from many knife wounds. His 23-year-old sister and a 47-year-old man who tried to help are very hurt. They are still in the hospital,” said a police officer.

The Sister’s Story

The victim’s sister said the attackers stabbed her brother many times. When she tried to stop them, they stabbed her and the bystander too. Then they ran away towards a nearby gurdwara.

Because of her story, the police started a murder case. They are still looking into it.

Why It Happened

Police said that four months ago, the victim had a fight with one of the attackers. The attacker had bothered his sister. During the fight, the victim slapped the boy. The boy told his friend, and they planned to get back at the victim.

“On the night of the attack, the two boys went to the victim’s home on the fourth floor. They called him outside and stabbed him many times. Even though he was very hurt, he ran down the stairs before falling on the road. His family lives on the third floor of the same building,” an officer said.

About the Victim

The victim worked for a delivery company. He was the only one in his family with a job.
