How the Illegal Clinic Was Found
Garhwa Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sanjay Kumar recently closed an illegal ultrasound clinic. This clinic was at the Kandi bus terminus. The SDM found it while on his way to Dumarsota village.
What Raised Suspicions
The SDM saw a sign for ‘Care Ultrasound Centre’ and became suspicious. He checked the clinic and found that the person running it was not qualified. The operator, Bikram Kumar, had only finished high school. He was still studying for his degree and had no medical training or certification.
Who Was Running the Clinic
Bikram Kumar, who is 25 years old, said he was from Begusarai, Bihar. He was working at the clinic for a monthly salary of Rs 30,000. The clinic was owned by Rajnikant Verma from Majhiaon block.
How the Clinic Was Operating
Bikram admitted that he did all the ultrasound tests himself. He said that the doctor never came to the clinic. This made the situation even more concerning.
What Action Was Taken
After talking to the civil surgeon, the SDM decided to close the ultrasound clinic. This was done with the help of local police. The SDM said, “We will send a report to the civil surgeon, Dr. Ashok Kumar. He will take further action against the owner of the ultrasound clinic.”
