UPI’s Amazing Growth
UPI, or Unified Payments Interface, is growing fast. In May alone, it handled 1,868 crore transactions. That’s a huge 33% jump from last year. The total amount exchanged was Rs 25.14 lakh crore, up by 23%.
Better Security for You
To make things safer, NPCI has told UPI apps to show only the real beneficiary’s name during transactions. Also, apps can’t let users edit the ‘beneficiary name’ anymore. Everyone in the UPI system must follow these rules by June 30.
