CM Yogi Adityanath’s Varanasi Visit: A Journey of Development and Devotion
A Busy Itinerary: Prayers, Projects, and Progress
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently visited Varanasi. His two-day trip was packed with activities. He began with prayers at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. There, he also launched a new audio guide facility.
Reviewing Development Projects
After his temple visit, the CM reviewed various development projects. He also checked on law and order situations at the Circuit House. His next stops were inspections of two major projects:
- Widening and strengthening of the Mohansarai-Cantt road
- Construction of a railway overbridge on the Mohansarai-Adalpura route
Widening the Roads
The road widening project is a big one. It covers an 11.8 km stretch from Mohansarai to Cantt. The project includes a six-lane service lane on the Mohansarai-Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar Chakia route. The cost is Rs 412.53 crore. The project is nearly 89% complete. The CM urged the PWD engineers to finish the remaining work by August this year.
Building Bridges
The CM also inspected the construction of a 649.44-meter-long and 7.5-meter-wide two-lane railway overbridge. This overbridge is on the Mohansarai-Adalpura route. It is located between Hardattpur and Rajatalab on the Varanasi-Prayagraj rail section. The cost of this project is Rs 42.22 crore. The CM instructed that the remaining work on the completed overbridge should be finished by August this year.
Seeking Blessings
Later, the CM visited two temples for rituals and blessings:
- Kashi Kotwal Baba Kalbhairav Temple
- Kashi Vishwanath Temple
At the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, he also inaugurated the audio guide facility. This facility will help visitors understand the temple’s history and significance better.
