NEET PG 2025: Key Information and Updates
Exam Schedule and Timings
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has confirmed that the NEET-PG 2025 exam will take place on June 15, 2025. This computer-based test will be held in two shifts:
- First shift: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
- Second shift: 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM
Available Seats
The NEET PG 2025 exam is being organized for admission to 12,690 Master of Surgery (MS), 24,360 Doctor of Medicine (MD), and 922 PG Diploma seats. These seats are spread across various institutions, including the All India Quota (AIQ), state quota, deemed/central universities, and private colleges.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the NEET PG Exam, all MBBS course students must complete their internship after the course. The deadline for completing internships for all NEET PG candidates has been set for July 31, 2025.
Congress Criticism on Delayed Announcement
Earlier this week, the Congress criticized the government for the delay in finalizing NEET-PG admissions, even though the results were declared in August 2024. Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh questioned Union Health Minister JP Nadda about the issue, stating that the delay is unacceptable and that 80,000 medical post-graduate hopefuls are being affected.
