Ankura Hospitals Secures Rs 165 Crore Funding from Asian Development Bank
Expansion Plans and Enhanced Healthcare Accessibility
Hyderabad-based Ankura Hospitals, a super-specialty tertiary and quaternary care services provider, has received a significant investment of Rs 165 crore from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). This funding will support the hospital chain’s ambitious expansion plans and strengthen its market presence, aiming to improve healthcare accessibility across India.
Previous Funding and Expansion Strategy
- Prior to this round, Ankura Hospitals had raised $17.8 million.
- The largest funding round was $8.31 million from InvAscent in July 2019.
- Ankura Hospitals plans to establish new state-of-the-art facilities in key cities across India.
Improving Pediatric, Maternity, and Gynecology Services
Dr. Krishna Prasad Vunnam, founder and managing director of Ankura Hospitals, expressed that the substantial financial support from the ADB would enable the hospital chain to enhance its pediatric, maternity, and gynecology services. This improvement will expand facilities and reach more families.
Current Presence and Specializations
- Ankura Hospitals currently operates over 1500 beds across 14 hospitals in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha.
- The hospital chain specializes in maternity and gynecology care, offering services such as normal deliveries, cesarean sections, fertility treatments, high-risk obstetrics, and comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care.
- Ankura Hospitals also provides advanced surgical solutions in gynecology, including laparoscopic surgeries and treatment for various gynecological conditions.
