Speeding Car Leaps Divider, Bursts into Flames in Gujarat’s Shahibaug: 4 Hurt
Accident Near Dafnala Curve
On Saturday morning, a speeding hatchback car jumped the road divider near Dafnala in Shahibaug, Gujarat. It collided with an auto-rickshaw and another vehicle, then caught fire. Four people were injured, but fortunately, no lives were lost.
Loss of Control and Collision
- The incident happened around 3 am near the curve in front of the ACB office.
- The driver lost control and slammed the brakes suddenly.
- The car soared over the divider and crashed into an oncoming auto-rickshaw and another four-wheeler.
Fire and Injuries
After the collision, the car’s occupants managed to escape before it caught fire, reportedly due to a short circuit. The car was quickly consumed by flames and reduced to ashes. The three passengers in the car and the rickshaw occupant sustained minor injuries and received treatment at a hospital.
Police Action
- An FIR was filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicle Act.
- The car was being driven recklessly and at high speed by Yash Rishi Amin, a resident of Isanpur.
- His friends, Parth Mewada, Jaimin Sindhan, and Mahesh Yadav, along with rickshaw passenger Kapoorji Bhat, suffered minor injuries.
Police are investigating further.
