Ahmedabad Teen’s Tragic Fall: Suspected Online Gaming Debts

A Heartbreaking Incident in Ellisbridge

The Fatal Fall

In a tragic turn of events, a 17-year-old boy from Amraiwadi, Ahmedabad, fell from the fifth floor of Mehta Complex near VS Hospital in Ellisbridge. The incident happened on April 5th night, leaving the boy severely injured. He was rushed to VS Hospital and later transferred to the Civil Hospital’s trauma ward, where he succumbed to his injuries at 3.45am on Sunday.

The Uncovered Debts

  • The boy’s father discovered that Rs 36,500 had been withdrawn from his bank account.
  • When questioned, his son gave a brief reply before the call was disconnected.
  • Despite repeated efforts, the father couldn’t reach his son again.

The Possible Connection to Online Gaming

The boy’s father suspects that his son might have accumulated debts while playing online games. This suspicion arises from the unexpected bank withdrawals and the teenager’s apparent fear of facing reprimands. The police have registered a case of accidental death and sent the body for a postmortem examination.

Ongoing Investigation

Ellisbridge police are currently investigating the case, exploring the possibility of online gaming debts contributing to the teenager’s tragic decision. As more details emerge, the true cause behind this heartbreaking incident may come to light.
