Air India Crash: Engine, Flaps, and Gear Under Scrutiny
Turkey Clears Up Maintenance Misunderstandings
New Delhi: Turkey recently spoke out about the Air India plane crash. They made it clear that Turkish Technic did not work on the aircraft involved.
What Turkey Said
The Turkish government’s Center for Countering Disinformation shared some key points:
- Turkish Technic did not maintain the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
- Deals between Air India and Turkish Technic only cover B777-type planes.
- Turkish Technic has never worked on any Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
Looking Into the Crash and Safety Issues
Experts are still figuring out what caused the crash. This has led to worries about how safe and well-maintained aircraft are. Both Turkey and Turkish Technic have promised to be open about what happened. They will work with global aviation groups to keep safety standards high.
India and Turkey’s Strained Relationship
This explanation comes at a time when India and Turkey are not seeing eye to eye. Turkey backed Pakistan during India’s Operation Sindoor. This operation aimed to take down terror groups in Pakistan.
Air India’s New Plan
After Turkey’s stance against India, many companies stopped working with Turkish firms. Air India also said it would rely less on Turkish Technic. Instead, they will use other maintenance facilities. This change is meant to make maintenance better and operations smoother.
Right now, Turkish Technic does heavy maintenance on some of Air India’s Boeing 777 and 787 planes.
