Begusarai Police Uncover Interstate Cybercrime Syndicate
Six Suspects Apprehended and Evidence Confiscated
Operation Overview
On Tuesday, the Begusarai police announced the disruption of an interstate cybercrime syndicate, resulting in the arrest of six individuals. The Superintendent of Police (SP), Manish, disclosed that the police seized various incriminating documents from the suspects, revealing their fraudulent activities.
The operation commenced on Sunday evening when the police received information about a disagreement among suspected cybercriminals over the distribution of illicit funds at Koria village, under the Begusarai Mufassil police station jurisdiction.
A police team, headed by Mufassil police station SHO Arbind Kumar Gautam, arrived at the village. The suspects, who were inside a parked car, attempted to escape upon noticing the approaching officers. Their attempt was thwarted, and all six were apprehended.

Identification of the Suspects
The arrested individuals were identified as Kundan Kumar (36), Swapnil Sharma (34), Keshav Kumar (23), Abhimanyu Kumar (26), Rajiv Ranjan alias Raja (26), and Suryakant Ojha (32). Kundan and Swapnil are from Prayagraj district in Uttar Pradesh, while Suryakant Ojha is a resident of Bhojpur district in Bihar. The remaining three hail from the Birpur police station area in Begusarai district.
Charges Filed Against the Suspects
The suspects have been charged under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) as well as sections 66(C) and 66(D) of the Information Technology Act, which involve identity theft and cheating through impersonation using computer resources.
