BTS’s V and Yeontan in Ghibli Style: Fan Art Shines Amid AI Trend
Artist Brings Human Touch to Ghibli-Inspired Illustration
Amidst the growing trend of AI-generated art, a talented artist has created a heartwarming fan art of BTS’s V, also known as Kim Taehyung, and his late dog Yeontan. This artwork captures the enchanting world of Studio Ghibli films, crafted by renowned Japanese filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki, with a personal touch.
Ghibli-Style Illustration of V and Yeontan
On March 30, an artist using the handle @Bwidasein shared their Ghibli-style illustration of V and Yeontan on X. The artist humorously captioned the post, “Did someone say Taehyung in #GhibliStyle but instead of made by AI, made by a real artist? …that’s me; I’m the ‘real artist’.”
- The illustration portrays V in a two-piece suit and baseball cap, holding Yeontan in his lap.
- The original photo of V is from his shoot for his debut album, Layover.

ARMYs Praise the Artist
As soon as the artist shared the Ghibli-inspired art of V and Yeontan, BTS fans, known as ARMYs, showered the comments section with love and appreciation.
- One fan commented, “Thank you for your priceless work. AI could never replicate real art or replace real artists no matter who it stole from. I’m sure Tae would love it. Have you posted on Weverse? We’ll cheer it!!!”
- Another fan mentioned, “I love your art; you can feel the essence of Hayao Miyazaki, and your style is incredible.”
- A third fan commented, “I am impressed by your picture. Really appreciate real talent,” while a fourth fan noted, “This is what we should hype.”
Remembering V’s Pet Dog Yeontan
For those unfamiliar, Yeontan, the cherished dog of BTS’s V, unfortunately passed away last year. V shared the sad news on December 2, 2024, through a heartfelt post on his Instagram stories.
“Time flies, and it’s already December,” V began, according to a translation by Soompi. “Actually, the reason I’m writing this post today is that recently, Yeontan has embarked on a long journey to the dog stars. I thought a lot about how to tell you this, but I felt it was right to share this news with ARMY, who have shown so much love for Yeontan.”
