Tambaram Flyover Crack Disrupts Traffic Flow

Damage on Mudichur Side of Flyover Leads to Congestion

A crack on the Tambaram flyover in Chennai caused heavy traffic on Wednesday morning. The flyover stretches from MCC College on East Tambaram-Velachery Road to ESI Hospital on West Tambaram-Mudichur Road at one end. The other end links Irumbuliyur on the Chennai-Trichy National Highway to the West Tambaram bus stand.

  • Structural damage was visible on the roundabout-bound route

The crack, which seemed to be structural damage, was found on the Mudichur side of the flyover, along the route leading to the roundabout.
