The district administration recently held a mock drill at the Dholewal Military Complex. This drill aimed to ensure quick access for relief and emergency teams during a drone attack. It also helped the public learn important skills for handling crises.

Teams Worked Together Quickly

The drill began at 8 PM with an alarm. This prompted fast teamwork among many agencies, such as:

  • Indian Army
  • National Disaster Response Force (NDRF)
  • Fire Brigade
  • District Administration
  • Municipal Corporation (MC)
  • Police
  • Health Department
  • Civil Defence
  • NCC
  • Nehru Yuva Kendra

The district administration planned the exercise with defense authorities. It was like a real-time emergency response.

Setting Up Command and Showing Techniques

SDM Ludhiana (East) Jasleen Kaur Bhullar shared that a command post was set up in the complex. Officers from different departments gathered there. The fire brigade and NDRF showed management techniques. Other teams demonstrated how to rescue and treat people during emergencies. They focused on life-saving methods.

Helping the Public Be Ready

Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain said the drill was to help the public be aware and ready. It ensured preparedness for any emergency in the district.
