Ashish Modi, the president of Honeywell India, has big plans. He says, “India is a great place to grow fast. It is one of our quickest-growing markets. We aim to make $1 billion by 2025.”
Honeywell’s Long Journey in India
Honeywell has been in India for more than 90 years. It started by helping build the first refinery in Digboi, Assam, in the 1930s. Now, Honeywell supports the 100 smart cities initiative. It focuses on three main areas:
- Automation
- Aviation
- Energy transition
Honeywell also works in aerospace, industrial and building automation, and energy solutions.
Making a Big Impact
Honeywell has nearly 13,000 employees in India. Over 60% of Honeywell’s global software development happens here. This is a big part of the ‘Make in India’ effort.
Recently, Honeywell launched a new airport ground lighting system. This shows their commitment to innovation and growth in India.
