India vs England: Exciting Test Series Ahead
India is set to face England in a thrilling five-match Test series this month. With Shubman Gill leading, the team has a fresh look and a big challenge ahead. Their goal is to succeed in foreign conditions. However, their pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, might not be available for all matches.
Bumrah’s Participation Uncertain
India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir, is unsure about which matches Bumrah will play. He mentioned, “We will discuss with him, and it depends on how the series goes. A lot will depend on the results and where the series is heading. Bumrah is aware of this, and it is important.”
Bumrah Can Play All Five Matches
Former India bowling coach, Bharat Arun, believes Bumrah can play all five matches with support from other bowlers. He told Revsportz:
- Handling Bumrah will be crucial.
- Bumrah’s presence adds huge value to the team.
- He not only performs well but also rallies the other bowlers.
Arun added, “Ideally, I would expect him to play all the Test matches. If there is good support from the other bowlers, Bumrah can be preserved and play in all five matches. If he takes on too much workload, he might not be ready for all matches. So, the support from other bowlers is vital. We have to take it as it goes, rather than planning breaks for him.”
Bumrah’s Recent Performance
Bumrah led the Indian pace attack in Australia during the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Unfortunately, he faced an injury in the last match of that series. This injury kept him out of action for a few months.
