The Theme for 2025

The Government of India, along with the Ministry of AYUSH, has announced the official theme for 2025: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” This theme highlights the interconnected benefits of yoga, focusing on both personal well-being and environmental health.

This theme reflects a call for sustainability. It emphasizes yoga’s potential to promote overall health, including individual wellness and environmental care.

The Government invited citizens to suggest themes and define their meanings through essays and other submissions. This shows the inclusive and community-driven nature of the theme.

Worldwide activities, from India to Chad to Canada, are being conducted under this theme. These activities include:

  • Ecological yoga classes
  • Online summits
  • Tree-planting drives
  • Classes under the Common Yoga Protocol

Since the UN endorsed International Yoga Day in 2014, it has become a global phenomenon. Celebrations have been held at iconic locations such as Rajpath in New Delhi and the UN headquarters in New York.
