IPL 2025: Dharamshala Match Stopped Due to Blackout
A Cheerleader’s Scary Experience
A female cheerleader shared a frightening experience during the Indian Premier League match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals. The game in Dharamshala was suddenly stopped at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium.
Match Stopped by Blackout
Punjab Kings were at 122/1 after 10.1 overs when the stadium lights went out. At first, people thought it was a power failure. But it turned out to be a blackout due to air raid alerts in nearby cities like Jammu and Pathankot. This happened because of the ongoing military conflict between India and Pakistan.
Stadium Evacuation
The entire stadium was quickly evacuated. IPL chairman Arun Singh Dhumal led the evacuation. During this time, a cheerleader shared a video on social media. She talked about the scary situation in Dharamshala.
Cheerleader’s Video
In the video, the cheerleader said, “The whole stadium was evacuated in the middle of the game. It was very scary. Everyone was screaming about bombs. It is still very scary. We want to leave Dharamshala. I hope the IPL people will take care of us. This is very scary. I don’t know why I am not crying. I think I’m still in shock about what’s happening.”
BCCI Arranges Special Train for Players
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) arranged a special Vande Bharat train. This train will take players from Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, along with the broadcast crew, from Dharamshala to Delhi. The decision was made because of the situation in the state and the logistical challenges.
Safe Travel for Everyone
According to a BCCI source, around 300 people will board the high-speed train. This includes players, support staff, and broadcasters. The goal is to ensure a smooth and safe journey for everyone.
