Last week, the Indian market saw some changes. Six of the top ten companies lost a combined Rs 70,325.5 crore in market value. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank were the most affected. This happened as investors became cautious due to global uncertainties.

  • State Bank of India: Gained Rs 5,756.38 crore.

Overall Market Sentiment

On Friday, the Sensex closed 193.42 points higher at 83,432.89. The Nifty also rose by 55.70 points to 25,461. However, the week overall was weak. The benchmark indices saw a cumulative decline of 0.4–0.7%.

Vinod Nair, Head of Research at Geojit Financial Services, shared some insights. He said investors are being cautious due to global uncertainties. Foreign investors are pulling out funds, but domestic investors are offering some support.
