National Pet Day 2025: Bengaluru’s Water It Up Initiative
Aiding Strays to Beat the Summer Heat
This National Pet Day, Bengaluru’s Supertails introduced the Water It Up campaign to help stray animals stay hydrated during the city’s impending hot summer. The campaign began on April 8, distributing 200 water bowls in Banashankari, Koramangala, HSR Layout, Cubbon Park, Ulsoor Lake, and Indiranagar.
Water It Up: A Collaborative Effort
- Water It Up’s goal is to provide stray animals with easy access to clean drinking water.
- Supertails distributed 200 water bowls throughout the city.
- The campaign urges community members to keep the bowls filled with fresh water.
- Additional water bowls are available for free at Supertails+ clinics.
Bengaluru is recognized for its strong community spirit, and this campaign offers animal lovers a chance to unite and assist strays in need. During summer, stray animals often face dehydration, leading to health issues like heat stroke and, in some cases, death.
See a Water Bowl, Fill it Up!
Supertails has placed water bowls across the city, and all you need to do is fill them with clean water when you see them. If you believe other areas in Bengaluru could benefit from this campaign, visit Supertails+ clinics to pick up a free water bowl. Together, we can make summer more comfortable for Bengaluru’s stray animals.
