Serial Killer Sohrab Escapes During Parole
Sohrab’s Escape and Current Whereabouts
Sohrab, a well-known serial killer, has escaped during his parole. He was serving time in Tihar Jail for many years. Reports suggest he may have traveled to Nepal through Moradabad. The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) received this information.
Manhunt Underway
The Delhi Police launched a manhunt after Sohrab failed to return to Tihar Jail. They alerted the UP STF and other state police forces. Sohrab, along with his brothers Salim and Rustam, has spread fear in Lucknow and other parts of the country. All three have been in Delhi’s Tihar Jail for years.
Parole Violation
Sohrab was granted parole recently, which ended on July 1. However, he did not return to prison. This has raised a major security concern. Sources in the UP STF revealed that Sohrab, accompanied by his wife, visited Moradabad. He then crossed into Nepal.
Criminal Background and Activities
Brutal Crimes
The trio has a long history of brutal crimes. In 2004, their youngest brother Shehzade was murdered in Hussain Ganj during Ramzan. A year later, they avenged his death by killing three individuals within an hour across different parts of Lucknow. Before the killings, they called the then SSP Ashutosh Pandey, daring him to stop them.

Criminal Syndicate
The brothers ran their criminal syndicate from inside Tihar Jail. They used video calls and encrypted communications. Several murders were carried out on their orders through hired killers, said a senior UP police officer.
