PM Modi to Join G7 Summit in Canada
Prime Minister Modi Accepts Invitation
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accepted an invitation to the G7 summit. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney extended the invite. PM Modi expressed his excitement on social media.
Modi’s Statement
PM Modi shared on social media, “I’m happy to receive a call from Prime Minister Mark Carney of Canada. I congratulated him on his recent election win. I also thanked him for inviting me to the G7 Summit in Kananaskis later this month.”
He added, “India and Canada are vibrant democracies with strong ties. We will work together with renewed energy. Our collaboration will be guided by mutual respect and shared interests. I look forward to our meeting at the Summit.”
India-Canada Relations
India’s relationship with Canada has seen some challenges. These issues arose under the previous government led by Justin Trudeau. Concerns included the activities of Khalistani separatists in Canada.

The G7 is a group of the world’s leading industrialized nations. It includes:
