New Delhi: Last week, eight of the top ten most valuable companies saw a significant drop in their market value. In total, these companies lost Rs 1,65,501.49 crore. HDFC Bank experienced the largest decrease. This happened as the overall stock market also declined.

The BSE benchmark dropped by 1,070.39 points. This is a decrease of 1.30%. However, not all companies were affected equally. Some performed better than others.

Companies That Gained Value
Not all news was bad. Some companies saw their market value increase:
- TCS gained Rs 22,215.06 crore
- Infosys gained Rs 15,578.3 crore
