Deadly Encounters with Maoists in Chhattisgarh

Security forces in Chhattisgarh killed 22 suspected Maoists in two separate gunfights on Thursday. Eighteen died near the Bijapur-Dantewada border, and four near Koroskodo village in Kanker district. Unfortunately, one District Reserve Guard also lost his life in the operation. Search and combing efforts continue in both areas. Allahabad High Court Ruling on Attempted Rape Charges

The Allahabad High Court has held that actions like grabbing a child’s breasts or breaking the strings of her pyjama do not constitute rape or attempted rape. The court made these remarks while altering charges against two men accused of attempting to rape an 11-year-old girl in 2021.
