Trader shot at, looted of Rs 4 lakh cash at weekly bazaar

Gumla: A 36-year-old trader, Ramkumar Sahu, had a terrifying experience at the Kansir weekly bazaar. This market is near the Raidih police station in Gumla district. On Friday, five armed criminals attacked him. They stole Rs 4 lakh and shot him.

What Happened During the Incident?

  • The incident took place at 11 am.
  • Ramkumar Sahu was at the market to buy paddy from local farmers.
  • He tried to resist the robbery attempt.
  • The criminals shot at him during the struggle.

The bullet went through his body. Luckily, he is now safe. He was first taken to a nearby health center. Then, he was moved to Rims for better treatment.

Police Share Details

Kundan Kumar Singh, the officer at Raidih police station, gave more information. He said, “They shot at him when he resisted. The bullet went through his body. He was taken to Rims from the local health center and is now safe.”

About the Trader

Ramkumar Sahu is a paddy trader. He lives in Tirra village. He went to the Kansir weekly bazaar to buy paddy from farmers when the incident happened.
