A 3-Year-Old Girl’s Life Cut Short by Reckless Driving
New Delhi: A sad event took place in Bawana, Northwest Delhi on Friday. A young girl, only three years old, passed away. A carelessly driven Creta car hit her. The driver has not been caught yet.
What Happened
The girl lived with her family in Pooth Khurd. Her mother works in a nearby factory. The 25-year-old mother told the police about the accident. It happened around 3 pm. The location was outside a factory in DSIIDC-sector 3, Bawana.
The mother took her daughter to the factory every day. While the mother was working, the girl was playing near the road. Suddenly, a white Creta car came speeding. The driver was not careful. He swerved and hit the child. Then, he drove away.
After the Accident
People gathered quickly. The mother and others rushed the girl to a hospital in Pooth Khurd. Sadly, doctors said she was “brought dead” upon arrival. The medical report showed the cause. It was injuries from a road accident.
The crime team looked at the scene. They took photos for evidence. PSI Amit secured the area. The investigating officer went to the hospital.
Finding the Truth
Using the mother’s words, scene inspection, and medical reports, a case has been started. It is under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Many teams are working to solve the case. They are also checking CCTV footage.
Other Sad Events
This is not the first time children have been hurt by reckless driving. In March, a two-year-old girl was killed. A 15-year-old boy was driving the car in Delhi’s Paharganj area. The child was playing outside her home in Ram Nagar.
In December last year, a car driven by a 17-year-old boy hit and injured many people. This included a 7-year-old boy. The event happened in Northwest Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar.
