What Happened
On Wednesday morning, Humayun Kabir killed his parents, Haji Mustafizur Rahman (65) and Mumtaz Begum (55). He moved their bodies to the street outside their home. Later, he went to the orphanage and attacked four people with a machete.
Arrest and What Followed
Humayun was arrested quickly. Soon after, a crowd attacked the Bongaon police station. They tried to take Humayun from custody. The police had to use force to control the crowd. Ten people were arrested for this violence.

A team from East Burdwan police is now looking into why Humayun targeted the orphanage. They are checking his links to the orphanage and the reasons for his actions.
