Three-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Slapped by Teacher in Prayagraj
In a sad event, a three-and-a-half-year-old nursery student in Prayagraj passed away. Reports say a teacher slapped him for crying in class. The police have filed an FIR against two teachers. They are looking into what happened by checking CCTV footage and talking to the family and school staff.
What Happened?
The boy’s family, Shivay Jaiswal, shared that he was crying in class. A teacher took him to his elder brother’s classroom. When another teacher came in, she slapped Shivay for crying.
The Aftermath
The family said the school told Shivay’s father, Virendra Jaiswal, that his son was not feeling well. He rushed to the school. The child was taken to a hospital, where doctors said he had passed away.
Police Investigation
Additional CP (law & order) Ajay Pal told TOI, “We are checking the CCTV footage. We will take legal action based on what we find. A detailed investigation will show us exactly what happened.”
The police have charged the two teachers with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. This is under section 105 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation is still going on to find out more details.
