Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently shared exciting news. He talked about the state’s growth in animal husbandry and dairy. He praised the ‘Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ for making Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision a reality.
Past Governments Missed Opportunities
Adityanath pointed out that past governments did not focus on these sectors. He said Uttar Pradesh has the best fertile land. The current government’s work in agriculture is clear for all to see.
“Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan is making PM Modi’s vision come true. The previous governments did not develop the animal husbandry and dairy sectors properly. Because of this, the quality of livestock started to decline. UP has the best fertile land and water resources. It also had good quality livestock, but that started to disappear. Now, we can see the results of the work done in the last 10-11 years in this sector,” Yogi Adityanath told reporters.
Growth in Agriculture
The UP CM stated that work on the agriculture sector should have started earlier. He said the state has huge potential in agriculture and related sectors.
Adityanath asserted that the state’s agriculture sector was not growing due to the neglect of previous governments. He criticized their lack of focus on farmers.
“The work that should have been done in a state like Uttar Pradesh, with huge potential in agriculture and related sectors, was not moving forward. This was due to the neglect of previous governments and their lack of focus on farmers. Schemes were made for their own benefit. They were made to grab tenders, and the sense of benefit for farmers, youth, women, and livestock rearers was missing,” CM Adityanath said.
Positive Changes Since 2014
He praised the steps taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after 2014. Adityanath stated that farmers in Uttar Pradesh can now see a positive change in their lives. He highlighted that the farmers of UP are doing well and do not have to resort to extreme measures.
“Gradually, the condition of the state became bad. Farmers started facing extreme hardships. But after 2014, the sense of all-round development was pushed forward by PM Modi. We can see this as a reality today. We can see this through the change in the lives of farmers of Uttar Pradesh. Today, our farmers are prosperous. They don’t face extreme hardships or migrate anymore,” he said.
