Uttar Pradesh Police Reshuffle: New Commissioners for Ghaziabad and Agra

11 IPS Officers Shifted in Late Night Reorganization

In a significant move, the Uttar Pradesh government transferred 11 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including the appointment of J Ravinder Goud as Ghaziabad’s new police commissioner and Deepak Kumar as Agra’s police commissioner. The announcement came late on Tuesday night.

Major Appointments

  • J Ravinder Goud: Ghaziabad Police Commissioner
  • Deepak Kumar: Agra Police Commissioner
  • Ajay Mishra: IG, Prayagraj Zone
  • Prem Kumar Gautam: IG, ATS
  • Neelabja Chaudhary: ADG, CID

Before this, J Ravinder Goud was the Agra police commissioner, and Deepak Kumar worked as the IG of Agra range.

District-Level Changes

  • Shailesh Pandey: DIG, Agra Range
  • Shlok Kumar: Mathura SSP
  • Dinesh Kumar Singh: Bulandshahr SP
  • Arpit Vijayvargiya: Barabanki SP
  • Suraj Kumar Rai: Baghpat SP
  • Prem Chandra: Commandant, 6th Battalion PAC, Meerut

Among the district-level changes, Mathura SSP Shailesh Pandey has been promoted to DIG of Agra range. Bulandshahr SP Dinesh Kumar Singh will now serve as Bulandshahr SP, and Baghpat SP Arpit Vijayvargiya will take charge as Barabanki SP.

Suraj Kumar Rai, the Commandant of the 6th Battalion PAC, Meerut, will now serve as the Baghpat SP, while Prem Chandra, who was posted at the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board in Lucknow, has been shifted to the same PAC battalion in Meerut as its commandant.
