Uttar Pradesh’s Powerful Battle Against Drugs

Anti-drug campaign in Uttar Pradesh

A Major Crackdown on Drugs

Uttar Pradesh police have launched a significant anti-drug campaign. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath initiated this strong action. It stands as one of the most robust anti-drug efforts in recent times.

When and Where It Happened

The campaign ran from June 12 to June 26. This period includes the International Day Against Drug Abuse on June 26. Police conducted operations in both urban and rural areas.

More Than Just Law Enforcement

DGP Rajeev Krishna stated that this campaign is about more than enforcing the law. He described it as a “battle for the future of our youth and our nation.”

A Fresh Anti-Drug Initiative

At the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) headquarters, the DGP introduced a new statewide anti-drug initiative. He directed all police units to enforce the law strictly and engage with communities.

“We aim to make the ANTF a robust shield against the drug trade in Uttar Pradesh,” said DGP Krishna. He emphasized that continuous crackdowns, public engagement, and targeted operations are crucial for a drug-free Uttar Pradesh.

Advancements Over the Past Five Years

In the last five years, Uttar Pradesh Police have made notable progress in combating drugs. Here are some key achievements:
